Beatrice Myers, 80, of Papineau, died Tuesday (July 13, 2010) at her home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home, St. Anne, and from 10 a.m. Friday at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Papineau, until the 11 a.m. services. The Rev. Craig Forwalter will officiate. Burial will be in Papineau Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Mrs. Myers did volunteer service, worked at Permonite in St. Anne, and was a caretaker for the elderly. She was born Nov. 23, 1929, in Hickman County, Ky., the daughter of Charlie and Mamie Redden Hutson. Her first husband, Ed Jackson, whom she married in 1947, died in 1976. She later married Romaine Myers in 1989. He died in 2008. Surviving are four sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Judy Jackson of Papineau, David and Debbie Jackson of Crossville, Tenn., Brian Jackson and Alan Jackson, both of Watseka; one daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Kenneth Floriant of Papineau; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Judy Smith of St. Louis, Mo., Ruby Murphy of Chicago, Elizabeth Lee of Bourbonnais; and one brother, Larry Hutson of Sikeston, Mo. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Jackson; three sisters, Linda Hutson, Jessie Lee, Carol Batson; and five brothers, Roger Hutson, Tilton Hutson, Charles Hutson, Jerry Hutson and Jackie Hutson.
