Ruth Stewart was born Dec. 29, 1908 in Logan. She married Leeman Stewart in 1929. They owned and operated the Owl Cafe in Logan. Ruth then became a postal clerk and also worked as a bookkeeper. She also worked at the Smith Motor Company and the Fitzner Grocery in Logan. For many years she and her husband owned and operated Stewarts' Food Market before retiring in 1964. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Logan.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leeman in 1989.
She is survived by one sister, Bernadine Ramsey of Albuquerque and one brother Thomas Goodrich of Las Vegas. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Logan with the Rev. Steve Kulback officiating. Interment will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery
