Racie Joe Page, 73, of Decatur, IL, died at 2:25 A.M., Friday, November 26, 2004 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Joe was born August 9, 1931 in Dover, TN the son of J.P. and Polly (Wallace) Page.

He married Melene Streight on September 4, 1950 in Dover, TN.

Joe was the owner and operator of Page's Trucking and Excavating for 42 years.

He'll be remembered for playing the fiddle and singing in several groups. Joe sang harmony with the 'Rock Springs Trio. They recorded a gospel album that was sold to build Rock Springs Church of God.

Joe was the former father of the year and president of the men's group at Peoples Church of God, a former Harristown Fire Protection Department Trustee and he attended the Community of Christ Church, Harristown, IL.

Joe and his brother Don helped maintain Harristown Cemetery for many years.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Melene, children, Mark (Sheila) Page, Jolene (Steve) Jones, Scott (Cathy) Page, Matt Page, Kris Pryde (Steve Duncan) and Kelly (Jay) Doyle, all of Decatur, grandchildren, Stacie Knackmuhs, Alissa (Stephen) Gruenewald, Dustin (Katie) Pryde, Zachary Page, Kyle Doyle, Melissa, Chance and Kyler Page. great-granddaughter, Kennedi Knackmuhs, great-grandson, Keegan Pryde, all of Decatur, sisters, Arlene of Ohio and Dorothy Williams and sister-in-law, Joanne Page, cousin Otis (Ruthie) Wallace and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lonnie, Troy and Donal, sisters, Orie, Marvie and Mary.
