His obituary from the Hunterdon County Democrat, Oct. 28, 1927:

Joseph Cronce, who was 75 years old on October 4, died at 1:30 a.m. last Saturday, Oct. 23, 1937, at his home, 67 Mine Street, Flemington, where he had been in failing health for some time.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Vogel Cronce, and nine children:
Fred Cronce of Somerville,
Mrs. Helen Van Horn of Flemington,
Mrs. Margaret Clunn of Port Elizabeth,
Paul Cronce of Ringoes,
Russell Cronce of Flemington Junction,
Charles Cronce of Bethlehem Township,
Louis Cronce and Henry Cronce of Flemington, and
Mrs. Cora Voorhees of Whitehouse.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the funeral home of Charles Holcombe, 147 Main Street. The Rev. Edward Capen Dunbar, pastor of the Flemington Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
