Thomas Jefferson Summerall was the son of Anthony Summerall 1808-1872 and Louisana (Louise Ann) Murray 1819-1889. His first wife was Jane Ellenora Brown . They married in 1877 and she was the mother of Maude B. Summerall and Thomas Jefferson Summerall Jr. His second wife was Georgia Augusta Tucknett. They were married in 1894 and she had James Alexander Summerall and George Allen Summerall (Sr). Thomas Summerall's siblings were Sarah Jane Summerall Campbell, Ellen Amelia Summerall Jones, Theodora Summerall Jones, Harrison Summerall, Horace A. Summerall, Annie Mariah Summerall Gresham, Leonard Pierce Summerall, Rosabelle Gertrude Summerall Skinner, and Lillie Victoria Summerall.
