SHIRLEY BROOKS RATLIFF MULLINS
Shirley Brooks Ratliff Mullins 63 years of age of Myrtle Beach SC, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at her residence. Born in Dickenson County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys Brooks. She was a graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College where she received her Nursing degree. She was of the Baptist Faith, a disabled RN, a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by one infant son, two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by two daughters: Debbie Hill and husband Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; Lea Anne Mulligan and husband Kevin of Chattanooga, TN; One son: Tim Ratliff and wife Stacy of Augusta, WV. Four sisters: Lola Stanley of Clintwood, VA; Edith Stallard of Cleveland, VA; Betty Gilbert of Meadowview, VA; Doris Adams and husband Howard of Lansing, MI. Three brothers: Donald Brooks and wife Barbara of Tazewell, VA; D.J. Brooks and wife Leona of Clintwood, VA and Michael Brooks and wife Karen of Lansing, MI.
She was also survived by seven grandchildren: Matthew Hill and wife Sandra, Kaitlin Ratliff, Brianna Ratliff, Emily Ratliff, Alexis Hill, Samantha Mulligan and Alexandra Mulligan.. One great-grandson: Matthew Gage Hill.
Funeral Services for Shirley Brooks Ratliff Mullins will be conducted, Sunday, July 11, 2004 at 1:00 p.m., in the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Douglas Elkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Castlewood, VA.
Active Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Huff, Greg Jacobs, Kyle Stanley, Kenny Rose, Howard Adams and Matthew Hill.
