Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Hanover, and three sisters, Esther Simpson, Teresa Crecelius and Lula May Bath. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, the former Shirley Roby; two sons, Jerry Hanover of Palmyra and Billy Hanover of Grantsburg; two daughters, Vickie Hanover of Milltown and Pam Donnelly of Marengo; a brother, Johnny Hanover of Paoli, and five grandchildren. Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 25, at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery. Officiant: The Rev. Philo Jones.
