William H. Davidson was born in Chenango county, New York, March 3, 1839, and died March 21, 1924.

At the age of seven years, with his father, mother, and brothers and sisters, he came across the country to Wisconsin and settled in the town of Milton in which he has since made his home. He was married to Mrs. Anna Maria Drake, November 3, 1867. She passed away May 22, 1915. Two children were born to them, Gertrude, now Mrs. S. A. Carey and Mary Louise who died at the age of three years.

Mr. Davidson was one of a family of nine children, all but one preceding him in death. His sister, Mrs. Delia Bowers, Lima Center, is the only surviving member of the family.

Mr. Davidson resided in the village of Milton until last spring when he went to make his home with his daughter, at whose home he passed away, after several days of suffering caused by a broken hip.

He was a charter member of the I. O. O. F. lodge of Milton.

The services were held at the home of S. A. Carey Monday at 2 o'clock, March 24, conducted by Rev. W. Millar and Prof. Edwin Shaw of Milton College. Mr. Sheard and Miss Helen Sheard sang. Services at the grave were in charge of the I. O. O. F. with benediction by Rev. Sheard.
