Rayburn, William L. was born on February 21, 1925 in McKenzie, Tennessee to the late William and Clara Rayburn and passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on October 21, 2012 in Kemp, TX. Bill grew up in a large family with over a dozen siblings and was a World War II Army Veteran. Bill was an electrical panel board builder by trade and retired from Siemens Corporation. Bill enjoyed fishing with his family on Purtis Creek, watching his favorite baseball team, The Rangers and gardening. Bill was Baptist by faith and also an Evangelist.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings, step daughter; Brenda Waldrep and step-son, Danny Elliott. Bill is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Chlorine Roberts-Rayburn, son; Robert Charles Rayburn and wife, Dot of Galax, Virginia, daughter's; Mary Bacon and husband, Noah of Lufkin, TX and Virginia Webber of Kemp, step-son, Dennis Elliott and wife, Vicki of Gun Barrel City, TX as well as numerous grandchildren and a bushel of nieces and nephews that loved their "Uncle JR".
