Leo Wyss, son of Alfred & Fannie (Bieri) Wyss, immigrants from Thun, Switzerland, left school at

age 14 to work in lumber camps & power plants. His father was chief operator of the Crofton Dam.

Leo came to Iron Mountain, Dickinson, Michigan in 1913 to work at Twin Falls Power Plant & eventually became superintendent of the Northern Division for Wisconsin Michigan Power Company.

Cecelia Charlotte & Leo were married July 20, 1917 in Crystal Falls, Iron, Michigan.

They traveled by motorcycle & lived at the Twin Falls Power Plant for 10 years. They moved in 1927

to Iron Mountain where Leo became involved with the construction

of several new power plants. Leo loved to golf & talking electricity, he retired in 1958. Cecelia focused

on her home, raising their 2 children & entertaining.
