Our loving father, brother and son, James Alan Adamson, passed away suddenly Sat. May 12, 2001 in Salinas, CA. due to complications following routine surgery. He was born July 29, 1958 in Lubbock, TX to Cecil L. and Marilynn J. Adamson. Served LDS mission to Kobe, Japan. Married Laurel Kaggie April 25, 1981 in the Los Angeles Temple, later divorced. Graduated from BYU in communications. Worked as television reporter and weatherman in Oklahoma, Alabama and California. Also worked in public relations for various hi-tech companies. His love of NASA and space travel led to the creation of "Space Props" a company that made space suits for museums, exhibits, television and movies including "Armageddon" and "Mission to Mars". James was a natural musician, writing and composing music. He was a master impersonator and comedian. He enjoyed being a kid with his five sons. His humor and wit will be greatly missed. Survived by parents; sons: Matthew James, Stephen Tyler, Nicholas Jon, Drew Michael and Jay Parker all of California; brother, Mitch L. Adamson, Florida; sisters, Valerie (Tom) Alley, New Mexico; Andrea (Miles) Wallace, Washington. Nieces, nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins, also fiancé Miiko Mentz. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Fri., May 18, 2001 at the Brighton 2nd Ward, 2527 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 So.). Viewing one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. View Memorial Estates, 3115 E. 7800 So. Cannon Mortuary funeral directors
