Mrs. Rogers was born August 12, 1935 in Marion County. A daughter of the late Wiley William Allen and the late Geneva Jackson Allen. She had worked at Anvil Knitwear and was a homemaker. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Tranquil United Methodist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Rogers are her son, Nelson Wayne Rogers of the home; three sisters, Margie Lewis, Barbara Goble and Joann Rogers, all of Mullins.
Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by a brother, Willey Allen, Jr.
The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, January 16, from 2:30 until 3:00 P.M. at Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the cemetery, with Rev. William Heustess officiating. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
