Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Raymond J. Ruprecht, age 83, of St. Cloud who passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, St. Cloud. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Entombment with military honors will take place at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud.
Ray was born on February 14, 1929 in Eden Valley, Minnesota to Anton and Marie (Schiller) Ruprecht. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. On October 16, 1954 he was united in marriage to Geraldine Oelrich in Sauk Rapids and they later divorced. Over the years Ray worked for Franklin Manufacturing, White Consolidated and Electrolux before retiring. Ray was a member of St. Anthony's Parish, the Waite Park American Legion #428, the St. Cloud VFW Post #428 and the St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622.
Ray enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, playing cards, ping pong and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Judy (Gary) Ayer, Susan (Daniel) Kough, and Debra Schmitz (Greg Johnson, special friend); 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; partner in life, Geraldine Ruprecht; and sister, Marcella Yunger, Las Vegas, NV.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Adeline, Martin and James.
