Walford, Capt. Garth Neville b. May 27, 1882 d. April 26, 1915 World War I Victoria Cross Recipient. Born in Surry, England, he served as a Captain in the Royal Field Artillery, British Army. On April 26, 1915, at Cape Helles during the Battle of Gallipoli Turkey, Captain Walford organized and led an attack on both sides of the village of Sedd el Bahr.
