Ronan, Daniel John b. July 13, 1914 d. August 13, 1969 US Congressman. A native of Chicago, Illinois, he served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. Elected to represent Illinois' 6th District in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1965 until his death in 1969. He also served as a Member of the Illinois State House of Representatives from 1948 to 1952. Spilotro, Anthony b. May 19, 1938 d. June 14, 1986 Crime Figure. Anthony Spilotro, nicknamed "The Ant," was well known for his involvement in organized crime in the 1970s and 1980s. Spilotro was the model for Joe Pesci's character, Nicky Santoro, in the Martin Scorsese film "Casino," starring Robert De Niro and Sharon Stone. In June, 1986, he and his brother Michael Spilotro were victims of a gangland-style slaying and were buried in an Indiana cornfield. Vasko, Elmer 'Moose' b. December 11, 1935 d. October 31, 1998 Professional Hockey Player. Born in Duparquet, Quebec, Canada, he was a defenseman hockey player in the National Hockey League. For thirteen seasons, he played with Chicago Black Hawks (1956-65) and Minnesota North Stars (1967-69). He was a member of the Chicago Black Hawks Stanley Cup Champion team in 1961 and was on the NHL All-Star Team (1963-64, 1969). He died at age 62 in Maywood, Illinois. Wightkin, William J. b. July 28, 1927 d. January 25, 1997 Professional Football Player. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was a tackle for the University of Notre Dome when he was drafted in the NFL 8th round by the Chicago Bears in 1949. For eight seasons 1950 to 1957, he played for the Bears and appeared in the 1955 Pro Bowl. He died at age 69 in Westchester, Illinois.
