Lubbock, Sir. John b. April 30, 1834 d. May 28, 1913 Scientist, Politician. He coined the archaeological terms "Paleolithic" and "Neolithic". Lubbock studied at Eton College before beginning his career by taking a position in his father's bank, becoming a partner at age twenty-two. He was elected the first president of the Institute of Bankers in 1879 and in 1883 founded the Bank Clerks Orphanage, now known as the Bankers Benevolent fund.
