Bio

I have been an active genealogist for over 35 years, starting when I was 14. I have a large photo collection of the gravestones for many of the persons I have submitted and plan to submit to Findagrave.com. Among the surnames I search are: Stilley, Freeborn, Mosher, Nissen, Reich, Blue, Reber, Swafford/Swofford, Vilott, Hollenbeck,Bushey, Kelly, Crumrine, Chumbley, Gadberry, and Munger.

In addition, I am the Graves Registration Officer for Franklin Camp No. 5, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (Olathe, KS), and have been posting Union veterans graves on the National Graves database of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. The website: wwww.suvcwdb.org (or try the main page: www.suvcw.org and find the link to the database). I have posted approximately 100 so far. There are at least another 150 to 200 additional veterans graves to be verified and input into the database. Other Camp members have been gathering burial information from the Olathe Memorial Cemetery, Olathe, KS, and verifying burial locations in the cemetery. Eventually I plan to add the same registrations to Findagrave, or forward to others who have previously posted burial information on a particular veteran so they can enter any Civil War veteran information on their previously posted graves.
