I'm the grand daughter of Anthony (Antonio) and Beatrice D'Amato. (from N.Y.)
Also I’m the granddaughter of Louis (Lewis) Richard Herdick and Veronica (Vera, aka Nellie) Tymeson.
I was married and divorced and had one child, Daniella Beatrice. My parents are Virginia D'Amato Herdick and Richard Louis Herdick. Catskill, N.Y. USA . Since my cousins have done research on my Mom’s relatives, I was initially interested in searching for my father’s side of my family. I began searching on Family Tree back in 1993 after I had my one and only child. When she was in her early teens we would search for graves for strangers on FindaGrave. Then life got in the way and I stopped looking for my relatives until my wonderful, smart daughter gave Mom & I a 23&me kit for Christmas. Then very shortly after I sent in my sample ...a miracle DID happen! I found a first cousin on my father’s side of the family. My father’s brother’s daughter!! Actually I should say she found me through the 23&me test my daughter had taken months before me! Since that time I’ve found more relatives- many 3rd and 4th Cousins. I would love to get back to finding ancestor’s graves for people who might be searching now or in the far future. I am looking forward to be able to visit my ancestors from NY or the surrounding states on a day trip and say a prayer. I hope that I can help others find their relatives and share that happiness with them. I am a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
