"The best measure of the future is a record of the past"
..............Benjamin Franklin

Hello,
My name is Deleana Adams. I was born and raised in Oklahoma and Arizona. Thanks to the military and job changes I've lived the last 50 years in New Jersey. I have one grown son. My husband, Lanier, of 35 years was an Army Vietnam Veteran who died in 2009.
My numerous hobbies include cemetery rambling, bird watching, genealogy, art quilting, geocaching, an Appalachian Trail Volunteer for 35 years, backpacker, traditional basketmaker, amateur photographer, a vocalist, and musician.
I attended Athens College in Athens, Alabama with a major in nursing and biology, which I never finished. I later received an entomology certification at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
At the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia I received training in mosquito-borne diseases and identification while working in the lab and field for a County Mosquito Commission.
I also volunteered for 5-years as a part-time adult literacy tutor at a local High School.
My genealogy research includes the following Irish, French-Canadian, Scottish, Welsh, Native American, Italian, German, Russian and English surnames:
Adams, Bernius, Botkin, Briley, Baldwin, Caldwell, Canada, Guy, Hackett, Hall, Harvey, Haslam, Hipp, Jackson, Kiernan, Lindsey, Martin, McHenry, McDowell, MacPherson, Moore, Moseley, Painter, Parks, Reilly, Roberts, Simpkins, Smith, Sproule, Staats, Taylor, Walker, Whitted, Williamson and Wineinger.
If you see a memorial I've posted that may be a member of your family, you may send me a request that the maintenance of their memorial be transferred to your FAG account. In doing so, please provide your Find A Grave contributor number and your relationship to that individual. However, if I'm also related to that person and have personally researched and composed their memorial, I may not transfer maintenance. But I will gladly accept any documented corrections or additional information that you wish included and will endeavor to make those corrections as quickly as possible. Please follow FAG procedures for all requests.
