Bio

Better known as Bill Fuller, I'm a graduate of Paris [Texas] High School, 1962; a student at Paris Junior College, 1962-63; and a graduate of North Texas State University, B.A. 1966, M.A. 1970. I'm retired from a Federal Civil Service career as an education program manager, a transition services manager, and a retirement services officer for the U.S. Army. Depending on the location of my primary employment at the time, I also taught English grammar and literature as an adjunct faculty member of the University of Maryland, Brigham Young University, University of Alaska Anchorage, Wayland Baptist University, and Black Hills State University. Now, amidst innumerable homeowner projects, I scrounge time to read all (assuming I live long enough) those books for which I had no time when I was a student and a teacher. I also tend to expend countless hours on genealogy, another pursuit for absolutely no reward other than a bit of self gratification. Oh yes, I still like toy trains, too!

I should add one very specific project that I am engaged with, the creation of a website memorializing the men who served with my own father in World War I, their unit having been the 645th Aero Squadron, 1st Air Depot, Colombey-les-Belles, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France, 1918-1919: https://sites.google.com/view/645thaerosquadron/home. My photo requests on Findagrave are all related to this memorial project.

By the way, memorials and photographs on Find a Grave are part of history and of genealogy, the pursuit of which is a collegial, cooperative and sharing activity. I have seen a very few people state that their photos are copyrighted, a ridiculous and unenforceable claim. Anything that I have posted on Find a Grave is in the public domain for any legitimate use so far as I am concerned.
