Bio

Paul and Krista have been married since 1995 and have been actively involved in family history research ever since. We both love history and enjoy traveling and visiting our ancestors' stomping ground.

Krista's families include mostly recent immigrants to the USA including the Van der Schaafs from the Netherlands to came Monroe County in Wisconsin. The Mohrings from Germany settled in LaCrosse and Monroe County in Wisconsin. The Hoffs came from Norway to Vernon County, Wisconsin. The Eshelmans are my oldest ancestors from Switzerland to Pennsylvania, some to Illinois and then up to Monroe County, Wisconsin. The Finstads & Olsons from Norway to Texas and Cottonwood County, Minnesota. The Andersons from Denmark to Iowa and Jackson County, Minnesota. Wiens & Baergs are the "Germans from Russia" who came to Cottonwood and Jackson County, Minnesota. Any other family names I add in were married in to my family.

Paul's families were known to be Iowa farm families. The Linderbaum and Schaefer families from Germany and England to Howard County, Iowa. The Hansons from Norway and and Sechler from Germany families also ended up in Iowa. But both the Sechler and Schaefer families are old families in the start of the USA and can be connected through ancestors who traveled together on the Mayflower.

We look forward to linking up our ancestors from long ago as well as connect with our distant cousins who are also engaged on this lifelong quest of family history research.
