I got bitten by the genealogy bug big-time in June 2016 when my sister and I paid a Father's Day visit to our parents' graves in CT.
I am investigating paternal Prout/Parmelee/Allen ancestors who arrived 17th C from England and maternal ancestors Dallaire/Leger/Cormier arrived 17th C in Acadia from France. They rarely moved far but sure did find people to marry in the neighborhood.
