Born and raised in Chicago on the northwest side of the city, started doing family history research in early 2006 after receiving a piece of mail with an inquiry to my mom's Rudzinski side of the family. Previously had pictures and information without knowing I would eventually be "addicted" with searching for more information on known relatives from my early upbringing, as well as the unknown they descended from. Growing up, my parents were frequent visitors to St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, IL, which back then as a kid was not the most fun place to go. Now it's a place of final resting for many and a piece of the search history. At some point, Adalbert "ran out of room" where most of the older family members were placed. When other family wanted to get situated with their resting places, the next best location was Maryhill (aka "Adalbert's West") further up Milwaukee Ave. in Niles right off of Dempster. With those cemetery locations being within a relatively short driving distance, if you have any picture or location requests, please leave a message.
