Currently researching John Liver Eating Johnston made modernly famous by Robert Redford in Jeremiah Johnson. There are two books, Crow Killer and Mountain Man that cover some of Johnston's exploits. While Mountain Man is fiction, there is some truths in Crow Killer.
My interests are in the west from 1840s to 1900. Other studies include, Muggins Taylor, Tom LeForge, William Skakel, Tom Hardwick, X Beidler, and many others that interacted with Johnston.
I enjoy the outdoors, travel, reading, music and genealogy.
