I am retired from the Army and living in Idaho. I used to live in Southern Illinois, way south. I could see across the Ohio River into Kentucky from my mailbox. I can't really say I am an avid genealogist, I go in spurts, but my wife and I lived on the farm where her grandmother was born. We even had a family cemetery there.
