I was born and raised in the Pierce County community of Dieringer, WA. My father, Orlo Atkinson, was on the Dieringer school board for many years as was his father, Ivan. My grandmother, Iva (Wright) Atkinson was a teacher at the Dieringer School. I have one brother, Ken, and 3 sisters, Kristi, Barbara & Rose. We were raised in the house completed in 1911 by Ivan's parents, George & Rose Atkinson. I've been continuing my dad's genealogical research since his death early in 1996. It was a natural progression since I've always been curious about how all our family members were related.
