I am freelance photo journalist and the editor of a small weekly newspaper. Last year I did a story about a woman who was photographing graves for Find a Grave. This year I was researching for an editorial about the 19 year old mayor of Muskogee, OK and the research led me to the grave of Randolph Jennings who fought to get the voting age lowered to 18. He is no longer planetside and I wanted to leave some flowers for him and so here I am a member at last. I hope someday to do him justice and to make him proud, for I remember almost no day as well as the day, that at 18, I voted for the first time.
2016 - Currently I live in Southeast Missouri. Over the years since I joined Find-A-Grave I have located an uncle I never knew I had and this month found my father's gravesite. I is unmarked, but I found his mother's grave and by speaking with the cemetery office I was able to find that he had been cremated and buried in the same plot as she.
Ancestry.com and Find-A-Grave have enabled me to locate family, meet a first cousin face to face and find my father's grave. Blessings to all the people who contribute and give peace of mind to those searching for answers.
