Bio
My interest in genealogy began 73 years ago when I listened to my mother and grandmother trace relationships of their friends and family.
As a Find A Grave photo volunteer for Lone Fir Pioneer Cemetery, I sometimes stumble over a neglected or forgotten grave marker. I add information or create memorials for the lives I discover in this way.
Freely adapted from #49714516: "It is also important to document and add photos of known unmarked graves. This is Find a Grave, not Find a Stone. Markers disappear or were never installed. I appreciate a photo of where the person was buried, who they're buried by, even if a marker for them does not exist. When markers do exist, I like photos that include the area. It gives a sense of the cemetery and, again, who they're buried near."
