My great grandparents came from eastern Ohio to Barrett's Mill, Kansas Territory in the spring of 1856 and live there until they died in the early 1900's. For many years I believed the Barrett Cemetery was moved or flooded under the Tuttle Creek Reservoir, but recently found that it is in great condition and the owners of the land have kept wonderful records. Some of the other cemeteries (especially in eastern Ohio) and their records have not been maintained or shared as well. I especially want to thank the Jones family for the continuing work with the Barrett Cemetery. I enjoy helping other find their ancestors whenever I can.
