Bio

My paternal roots stretch across more than several centuries to South Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. My ancestors left Scotland in 1790, crossing the Atlantic and settling in Prince Edward Island in Canada.

My maternal roots are part and parcel of the mass immigration west across the US made by real pioneers who arrived on the east coast of this country and moved west seeking posterity and peace. From Virginia, the Carolinas, and Connecticut, they made their way west to Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri and beyond, eventually finding their way to the west coast of America.

I have seen an increasing trend in the last year of the posting of memorials when it is not even known that the person was buried there. If there is no headstone and no record of interment there, please think twice before you create a memorial that communicates unsubstantiated information.
