Edna Jane Heard Goocher is my first cousin 3X removed, common ancestor Joseph Heard, b. c1760 NC, and died in Perry Co. AL c1835. He was married to Jane Anderson c1788. Jane was the daughter of John Rogers Anderson and Mary Southard. Mary's maiden name was chosen by her daughter Jane Anderson Heard for their first child, Stephen Southard Heard, my direct line ancestor.
