I have been working on my family history for more than 25 years and am particularly interested in Irish and Chicago genealogy. I am retired from DePaul University in Chicago and hold a master's degree in Library Science and an MBA. I became interested in using FAG memorials as a way to communicate with my broader genealogical family as well as, and most importantly, to honor those who came before me. I especially wish to honor those who died as children and/or had no descendants. Both groups tend not to have much attention paid to their history and I hope posting on Find A Grave will help to change this.
