Bio

Hi everyone!

I'm Jan and I was born in 1951 in Syracuse, N.Y. I graduated from Corcoran High School there and started college at Onondaga Community. I took off for the fun and sun of Tampa, Florida and received my B.A. in Psychology from Univ. Of South Florida. Back to Syracuse, I married and lived and worked in Syracuse until 1990. The previous year, after working in advertising for 10 years,I went back to school at Syracuse University and got my M.S. in Elementary Education. In 1990, I accepted a teaching position in Savannah, Georgia. During the next 10 years, I lived and worked there and also in Little Rock, Arkansas and Decatur, Alabama.

In this new millennium, I moved to my present home in Winter Haven, Florida where I taught school for a time and now buy and sell antiques.

I have always been an avid reader, total animal lover and protector and genealogy researcher. I began studying my family history in my teens and have been at it ever since. I love searching for members of my family tree and learning all I can about their lives.

I am so happy to be part of Find a Grave and I hope to be able to contribute a great deal of information.
