Vail grew up on the family farm south of Plains KS, purchased and homesteaded by Great Grandfather Homer and Clara Vail in 1912. My great grandfather, Thomas Benton Novinger, came to Plains in 1887 by stagecoach and homesteaded south of Plains. Great Grandmother Essie Givler Novinger arrived by covered wagon about same time by covered wagon from southeast KS.
Vail and Pam left the farm in 1999 and moved family to Pratt, KS for 7 years, then moved to Wichita in 2006.
