I'm the daughter of Douglas Martin Simonis and Lorraine Schultz Simonis. My Grandparents were Martin F. Simonis and Veronica Thorp Simonis. I am descended from Mathias Simonis who married Mary Hummel, Mathias Simonis who married Mary Ann Kraus...our first ancestor in America, and the rest of the family line is well documented in "The Descendents of Johannes Simonis", by Melanie Simonis Zietlow...my father's first cousin.

My father's side also includes Nortons and Thorps. My 3x Great Grandfather was the first settler in Plymouth, Sheboygan county WI. A mural will be painted in his honor by the group "Wall Dogs" this summer, and I've just completed a documentary on the family story.

My mother's side are Schultz and Piotrowski.
All of my families are deeply rooted mainly in Portage county WI.
