I was born in Lakeland, FL, 8/7/47. My Thornton & England ancestry comes from Hickman County, TN. I was the youngest of 7 children, born to Jesse David Thornton & Sina Luida England Thornton. They moved to Lakeland FL in the 40's. I was a baby when my father passed. I raised by a foster family, the Stephens.

I have 2 daughters, the older lives in central FL. My youngest daughter lives in Hope Mills, NC. She is an officer in the Army, stationed at Ft Bragg. Presently she is serving in Tampa FL where she will be for 6 mos, then return to Bragg next fall.

I was born & lived in Lakeland until 1971, when I moved to Auburndale, FL. I lived there until 4/06 when I moved to NC. I lived in Hope Mills & Fayetteville. As of November 2015, I moved back to central FL where I now am retired & living in Winter Haven, FL. After 8 hard years, I just couldn't take another old winter. ;-)

I love photography, in particular photographing stones in old cemeteries, nature & Civil War Reenactments. I hope I will be able to help those that need photos taken of decendant's gravestones. I have physical limitations & haven't been able to get out for the past few from various cemeteries in the Fayetteville & Cumberland Co. area I truly appreciate those fine folks that have been able to take photos of my family members who came from Hickman County, TN.

God willing I will be able to get out in Polk Co. & surrounding areas now that I am back to FL. I have some surgeries to have & hopefully will have me back up to speed. My cameras are waiting! ;-)
