I have been working on my genealogy for about 40 years. I am also working on tracing all of the descendants of a few "key" families that I have called the "Quabbin Project". This entails tracing down all of the descendants of the following families : William Thomas 1687-1747 of Hardwick, MA; Jonathan Marble 1721-1800 of Hardwick, MA; Aaron Furbush 1721-1811 of Hardwick, MA; James Smith 1685-1764 of Rutland, MA; Thomas Drury 1756-1835 of Shutesbury, MA; Samuel Stone 1754- of Oakham, MA; John Towne 1686-1766 of Greenwich, MA; James Whipple 1729-1767 of Hardwick, MA; and James Thompson 1709-1759 of Pelham, MA. These nine gentlemen are ancestors of many families throughout the four towns that was flooded out in 1938 because of Quabbin. Their lines are not only represented in Quabbin Park Cemetery but also extends from Sea to Shining Sea.

I am using 1938 as the cut off date on this project and will share information with any & all who cares to email me.
