Growing up my parents took us to cemetaries all the time, nothing scary about it. Today I enjoy taking my grandchildren to historic cemetaries as well as "visiting the relatives" as we call it on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. I love to tell them which one they "take after" or "look like" as well as memories and stories handed down from generation to generation. As a writer and photograper, I am glad to participate in 'Find a Grave' and hopefully help others that maybe looking for ancestor information or their resting places.
Living in the Lowcountry of South Carolina there are so many historic cemetaries as well as those forgotten slave cemetaries that need to be accounted for..hopefully working together it will happen.
