Mother

Mom was always setting a good example
She was strong of will, determined and stead fast
She always finished what she started, always

Mom did everything and never complained
Even when she was tired and frustrated from the day
As I look back ,mom seemed like an angel………………. in every way

Mom stayed up late darning socks and sewing for her family
Making sure we had pretty clothes, pajamas and outfits for our dolls
She made curtains for our house, sewed new collars on dad's frayed shirts
Mom took pride in what she had accomplished, yet never boasted about her craft

She was a mother that was so ……… self-sufficient
Mom didn't let on when money was tight
She recalculated, stretched and made do with all of her might

Our mother was an exceptional woman
She was a wife and mother
A homemaker, farmer and a merchant
And so much more
Most importantly she was a Christian
Mom was loved by many and a friend to all that knew her

I have so many images of Mom in my mind
When I feel a spring breeze in my face, I see her sweet face
When I taste a raspberry pie, I see her in the kitchen
When fall comes on, I see mom raking leaves
The sights and sounds linger in my mind forever

Mom, I am eternally grateful that you are my mother
You enriched my life and made me the person that I am
Until we embrace each other in the spirit world
I will keep you tucked in my heart
And In the fabric of my being

Happy Mother's Day mom

Love, Joyce Lauraine
