I was born in West Plains, Missouri on January 8, 1937.

Graduated from Gainesville High School in Gainesville, MO in 1954.

I am a graduate of Southwest Missouri State College (now Missouri State University) with B.S. Degree in Businsess Administration.

I am a veteran of the United States Air Force 1958-1962.

I have been a banker for 47 years. Currently, I am semi-retired but continue to serve as Chairmain of the Board of Century Bank of the Ozarks, formerly Bank of Gainesville in Gainesville, MO. The bank has been in our family since its founding on July 24, 1894 by two of my grandfather's brothers, both of whom were born in Gamaliel, KY.

I also oversee the Gainesville Cemetery here in Gainesville, MO(Ozark County). There are many families here who are the decendents of families who emigrated here from Monroe County, KY and surrounding counties in the years following the Civil War.
