Bio

My first goal is to research my father's birth families the Hostetler( Hochstetler) and Lowe. Since my father died in 1969 at the age of 59 I knew very little of his birth family. When this task is complete I will move on to my mother's families from Missouri, the Murphy & Miller families.

My name is Nancy Ellen Bart Smith, I was born and raised in Broken Arrow with my four brothers, John H., Gale V., Paul F., and Joe A.

My mother,Eva Beatrice Murphy, came in Broken Arrow at the age of 2 years old in 1914 from Missouri. Her father worked in the coal mines, with his brother and lived in Evans area until moving to corner of First and Dallas.

My father, Clint Woodrow Hostetler, was adopted at the age of 9 with one of his four sisters by H.E. and Florence Bart in 1919 and was raised on a farm on 111th between 145th and 129th that was suppose to be Elam but due to the RR changes it never developed. He was the son of Joseph Hostetler & Martha Ellen Lowe Hostetler living in Atoka.
I now live between Coweta and Broken Arrow.
