I got started in this hobby, as it turned out, through the strangest way. For years I thought I was the only one that ever did this, hunting and finding graves. I began hunting for Confederate soldiers graves and placing a flag every April during Confederate Heritage Month. Occasionally I'd clean up around an old soldiers grave, and noticed that whoever was buried next to him, it needed some sprucing up too. Before I new it, I had about 5 whole cemetaries to clean up, and lots of restoring damaged, run down graves. I met a fellow named Buck Redmond that introduced me to this site. I never dreamed there were lots of other people that did this. Maybe I am sane after all.
