Bio

I have been interested in my family history since I was a kid asking my only grandparent about her ancestors during the 1960s. I'm now retired and have been working on building my family tree for the past 15 years of so. I am especially interested in my direct ancestors (including their siblings)and their stories-especially since these ancestors came to our shores. I REALLY like ancestoral photos. I beg, borrow and steal old photos of relatives, then scan them and fix them up using Photoshop Elements- improving fading, contrast, cleaning up tears, spills, etc. and then make really great reproductions available to anyone interested. I am especially interested in the following surnames: Kolb, Jakcsy, Dula, Arvai, Meinhart, Price, David, Motes/Moats, Weisenberger, Gebhart, Graham, Cordray, Cullimore, Hill, Baylor, Sill, and Olander. I discovered Find a Grave recently and have been registering my ancestors and their siblings trying to tie together family members whenever possible. I try to post pictures of the graves and the grave sites and try to give a little bit of family history. If you want to know more, I have a really great tree on Ancestry.com (Anne's Kolb/Jakcsy/Graham/Cordray Tree). I invite you to take a look. If you aren't a member of Ancestry and would like an invitation to be able to view the tree (even if you don't have an Ancestry subscription), please send me an email and request an invite. If you are related, let me know how you might be related to me. It's fun to meet distant relatives online!
