Eldest Son of Charles Henry and Ada Mae [Courtois] Sickmeier III. Began working Family History around the early 90's when I could not find my Grandmothers Grave. After just a few months of research it never dawned on me, as I recalled in my distance memory, that she had remarried and was buried under a different last name. I retired after 22 years in the US Army and was proud to fly Attack Helicopters such as the AH-64A Apache an the AH-1 Cobra as well as a few other aircraft (UH-1 Huey, OH-58C). Desert Storm Veteran and Lifetime Member of the VFW I Retired in December 1999.I retired again after after 18 years working as a Government Contractor in September 2016 and now am working as a full time Grandparent. My plans in my retirement are to get out to all of my family grave sites in Monroe County and the Gravesites in Missouri as soon as I can, list the GPS Coordinates of each with updated photos and any memories I can find.

Concentrating on Monroe County Illinois due to this being where many of my ancestors were from and much of the Sickmeier early history in America. Will continue working mothers side of family, Courtois, as I can.
