I began researching my family history out of curiosity and needing health history. I know my mothers side of the family pretty well and not much of my father's except by name only. My Mother's side came from Buncombe, Yancey and Madison Counties of North Carolina as well as Cocke County Tennesee. This would be the Blacks, Owens', Hollifields and Lovings. My father's side would be McAbees, Owenbys, Hills, Carvers, and Conners (Connors), having different spelling variations. They are mostly from Henderson County, North Carolina.
