I am in my early 70's and have lived in Akron, OH all my life. I recently started to research my branch of the Ecker tree and discovered my grandfather is buried in Spring Grove in Medina, OH. He was the 3rd Emanuel in our family. I am Emanuel V, my son is Emanuel VI and my grandson is Emanuel VII. I know that my grandfather's father, Emanuel Ecker, Jr., was a civil war veteran. I accidentally found the Find A Grave web site recently and found that there were already memorial pages for several of my Ecker relatives in PA. I find it quite exciting to be able to find my "missing" relatives and to be able to possibly help others do the same.
