Bio

I have been working on my family history for over 35 years and what a wonderful journey it has been. Back in the day, before the internet, one had to travel to different places to look at original records. I have been locked in the attics of court houses, in libraries and cleaned a lot of dust and cobwebs off of old books and shelves. And I have met both friendly and crabby county court officers Those who now only use the internet don't realize what they have missed. I have met cousins by the dozens and am still in touch with many of them. I started to work on Find A Grave because I have received so many requests for information (and I am never credited) that I can't keep up. Besides one can make a beautiful memorial for those who have gone before me. And within personal research, one can get to know their relatives.
If you think that I have made a mistake in the information, I would like to know about it. But I will only change it if you can show me a document that my information is incorrect. I will not make a change just on sayso. I have fat files of documents.
I try to make my memorials to honor the members of my family. Even those I haven't met except from the stories of my parents and grand-parents.
