A visit to the Jacob Peak Family Cemetery in my neighborhood in 2011 got me interested in the maintenance and preservation of the historic Oak Ridge cemeteries. I'm currently working on the Abel Peak Cemetery in Scott County, and the Grills and Walters Cemeteries on Union Valley Road, previously listed as lost on the Oak Ridge Library Historic Cemeteries list.
