I am the family historian for my clan. My father's side of the tree isn't well researched as it shortly jumps the "pond" where tracking it in Dutch is quite difficult. But my mother's side is rich with details as it goes all the way back to Plymouth Rock. There are a lot of interesting characters in between the two!
My grandmother was the family historian before I took over the mantle so unfortunately, there is quite a gap in knowledge but grandmother did leave me some notes that helped me get started in the search for the past. Now that there are a lot of research tools available online, it is a much easier task!
