I am retired and a disabled veteran. I am the sec/tres of the Youngs Creek Cemetery Assn. The association was formed in 1950 to maintain the Youngs Creek Cemetery which had fallen in disrepair. The cemetery was founded along with Youngs Creek Christian circa. 1850. We are a small country cemetery approx. 1 acre. Also located a Youngs Creek Cemetery are the remaining headstones
from Mitchell Cemetery. This cemetery was plowed over by farmers before there was a law in Indiana to protect cemeteries. The Mitchell Cemetery was located at Johnson County, Indiana road 350 South
and Mauxferry Road in a farm field on the northeast corner of that intersection appox. 75yds. off 350 south.
